Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic presales Research Consultant to join our Business Development and Consultancy team.
In this role, you will support pre-sales and renewal activities by creating high-quality sample deliverables, supporting client pitches, and assisting in the proposal and RFP process. This role blends (prospect) client-oriented ideation, conception, and hands-on touchpoint production with strategic insight to help our commercial team drive revenue growth. Working closely with the Insights Consulting team and commercial specialists, you’ll ensure our offerings are compelling, state of the art, accurate and aligned to client needs, particularly in Public Relations, social media marketing and Communications space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample & Pilot Creation: Design and produce sample deliverables that demonstrate the value of our services, tailored to (prospective) client needs in the PR and social media marketing analytics space.
- Thought Leadership: Design and conduct trend analysis/studies on the latest media landscape developments or selected events or topics of relevance for communicators.
- Presales Support: Collaborate with commercial and client experience teams to deliver compelling materials for pitch presentations, proposals, and RFPs with a focus on PR and communications solutions.
- Presentation of results of analyses or studies on site or in online meetings
- Cross-functional Coordination: Partner with commercial and client experience teams to prioritize opportunities.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and refine proposals that address client-specific challenges and showcase our expertise.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between Professional Services and Insights Consulting teams, ensuring presales materials are consistent, data-driven and meet quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, Public Relations or a related field.
- 5+ Years of experience in analytics, services delivery or insights role with exposure to pre-sales or sales support preferred.
- Fluency in German and English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Familiarity with the PR and communications landscape, including trends, metrics, and client expectations.
- Prior experience with PR and/or social media marketing tools (e.g., Cision, Brandwatch) is preferred.
- Boolean search expertise preferred, with the ability to effectively filter and pinpoint relevant data for pre-sales support.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to work through broad data sets and extract compelling findings and actionable recommendations based on an understanding of client needs.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Empathy for client needs, with the ability to capture client-specific pain points and tailor solutions that add value.

- Understanding of Content Marketing and Digital Media: Familiarity with content marketing strategies and digital media landscapes to tailor materials that resonate with clients in PR, social media marketing and communications.
- You are interested in political, societal, economic, and business topics and can quickly familiarize yourself with new subject areas.
- Sales Acumen: Basic knowledge of sales processes and cycles, including support and alignment with sales goals, overcoming objections, and crafting persuasive value propositions.
- Interpersonal and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize efficiently, balancing multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
