Cision respects the intellectual property rights of others, and Cision requires its customers and those that visit its website(s) to do the same. We’re committed to respecting and protecting the intellectual property rights of publishers, content providers and international copyright organizations.
Content Licensing
As copyright laws continue to evolve, Cision is actively participating in the global effort to develop practical solutions for copyright protection and digital rights management. In Europe, we have partnered with the Newspaper Licensing Agency (NLA) in the UK and PMG in Germany, to ensure all organizations can access and share the news they need while staying copyright compliant. While there is no single governing agency in the US, we are supporting multiple organizations dedicated to establishing standards and best practices that can reduce and eventually eliminate misuse of intellectual property, and avoid copyright infringement. We currently have a license with the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) and are a member of the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA).
Become A Content Licensing Partner
Currently, Cision has licensing agreements with many publishers and broadcasters in the US whose content we monitor, including the Associated Press and all publishers in the LexisNexis catalog provided through LexisNexis. In Canada, we have agreements with organizations including Access Copyright, AWNA and CBRA, and we are the recognized consumer supplier for mainstream broadcasters such as CBC, CTV, Global and Newstalk 1010. Drafting an appropriate digital rights agreement can help protect your content from copyright infringement. For more information on a licensing agreement with Cision, contact contentmanagement.us@cision.com.
