Laura Peterson is finally in her dream job as Manager of Public Elations for Ben & Jerry’s. This is the position she waited 15 years to land.
While she was waiting, she spent time as Communications Director for the Vermont Department of Tourism, extolling the virtues of the nation’s most beautiful state. (Not a hard gig.)
She was also Communications Manager for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (promoting Fair Trade, organic coffee), and Program Manager for Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility.
Mission-driven business seems to be a career theme for Laura, who is a recent empty nester with her husband Duane. They live at the top of a mountain in Waterbury, Vermont with their sled dog, Sarah. Her favorite flavor is New York Super Fudge Chunk.
